Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup whole milk (lukewarm)
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • ½ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • Fresh strawberries (sliced)

Instructions

  1. Activate yeast by mixing lukewarm milk and yeast in a bowl. Let sit until frothy (5–10 minutes).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Create a well and add the yeast mixture, butter, egg, and vanilla. Mix until dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth. Place in greased bowl to rise for 1–1.5 hours until doubled.
  4. Prepare the cheesecake filling by mixing cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, flour, and sour cream until smooth.
  5. Roll out risen dough into a rectangle and spread softened butter followed by the cheesecake filling and cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  6. Roll tightly into a log shape, cut into rolls, and let rise again for 30–45 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C), bake rolls for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool slightly before drizzling with cream cheese icing and topping with sliced strawberries.
