  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 10 cooked and crumbled turkey bacon slices
  • 1/2 cup chopped peanuts
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease an 8×8 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  3. In a bowl, cream together the brown sugar and softened butter until smooth. Mix in peanut butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt with the wet mixture until just blended.
  5. Fold in half of the crumbled turkey bacon and one-third of the chopped peanuts into the batter.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared dish and bake for 20–25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on top once out of the oven; let melt slightly before spreading evenly.
  8. Top with remaining turkey bacon bits and peanuts; allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
