  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup crispy cooked turkey bacon, crumbled
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan (for topping)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef. Add onion and sauté until soft; stir in garlic.
  2. Mix in marinara sauce and turkey bacon; simmer for about 10 minutes.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter and whisk in flour. Gradually add milk until thickened; mix in Parmesan and garlic powder.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Layer meat sauce, noodles, béchamel sauce, mozzarella, and cheddar in a baking dish until all ingredients are used.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes; remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
