  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter or ghee
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream or coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (for finishing)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken with Greek yogurt, lemon juice, and spices for at least one hour.
  2. Sauté finely chopped onions in butter until golden brown; add garlic and ginger.
