  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (plus more for garnish)
  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • 1 teaspoon salt (for boiling water)

Instructions

  1. Season sliced chicken with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Set aside.
  2. Boil salted water and cook linguine according to package directions until al dente. Reserve half a cup of pasta water before draining.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Stir in Dijon mustard, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, and parsley; simmer for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Add cooked linguine to the sauce, tossing to coat thoroughly. If needed, add reserved pasta water to achieve desired consistency. Return the chicken to the skillet and toss gently.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
