Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven according to the cake mix instructions. In a large bowl, whisk together vegetable oil, sour cream, heavy cream, and eggs until smooth. Gradually add chocolate cake mix and cocoa powder, mixing until combined.
  2. Line a cupcake tin with paper liners and fill each about two-thirds full with batter. Bake for approximately 15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow cooling completely before frosting.
  3. For the frosting, beat cold butter until creamy, then gradually add powdered sugar. Mix in heavy cream, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Add green gel food coloring to achieve the desired color.
