  • 1 medium white onion (diced)
  • 4 medium celery ribs (sliced)
  • 1 medium green bell pepper (diced)
  • 1 medium jalapeño (minced)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans great northern beans (drained)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add cubed chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes.
  2. Stir in diced onion, celery, bell pepper, and jalapeño; sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
  3. Add minced garlic, cumin, smoked paprika, chili powder, and flour; cook for another 1–2 minutes.

  5. Stir in heavy cream and simmer for an additional 2–3 minutes until warm.
